Inclusive procurement resources: Using UBC’s purchasing power for good

Campaign Overview

UBC has designed inclusive procurement resources to support faculty and staff in making purchasing decisions that reflect our institutional values while meeting academic, operational, and budget needs. Two key resources support this work: the Indigenous Business Directory and the Sustainable Procurement Toolkit.

Together, these programs help embed sustainability, inclusion, and ethical considerations into procurement processes across the university.

Using UBC’s purchasing power for good

Every purchasing decision at UBC is an opportunity to advance our values. Two key resources support faculty and staff in inclusive procurement: the Indigenous Business Directory and the Sustainable Procurement Toolkit.

📋 Use the Indigenous Business Directory to identify Indigenous-owned businesses for goods and services in support of UBC’s Indigenous Strategic Plan. You can also learn more about the vendors through the supplier spotlight series

♻️ Use the Sustainable Procurement Toolkit to find tools and templates to guide you in responsible purchasing and life cycle management.

Together, these programs help embed sustainability, inclusion, and ethical considerations into procurement processes across the university. Learn more about inclusive procurement at UBC.
