Communications Strategist, Samantha Tsui will be leaving the VPFO Communications & Engagement team to take a new opportunity in the Faculty of Education.

Sam joined our team as Communications Coordinator in 2021, and quickly became integral to managing our newsletters and website updates.  Most of you wil know Sam from her management of our VPFO photo library and your team’s headshots. She was also notable for bringing our We are the VPFO campaign to life through storytelling and forming meaningful connections with our VPFO Strategic Plan champions. Through this campaign, we spotlight the our people, what they do and how their work drives the university forward.

Sam has always approached work positively and never shied away from a new challenge. Luckily, she is not going far and will still be at UBC. We will certainly miss her cheerful energy and hearing all about her delicious food discoveries around the city!

Sam’s hard work and dedication is very much appreciated, and we wish her all the best in the next step in her career. Sam’s last day will be Friday, August 18, 2023.
