Kristy Lin and Katie Earle join VPFO Communications & Engagement

VPFO Communications & Engagement are pleased to welcome Kristy Lin and Katie Earle, Communications Strategists to the team. Kristy started September 20 in the Koerner Library 6th floor office and Katie will be starting on Wednesday, October 4.

Both Kristy and Katie will be reporting to Yvonne Kwok, Manager Communications, working closely with departments within the VPFO to support general communications planning and coordination, including our VPFO Strategic Plan campaign, managing our newsletters and Flickr page, coordinating website updates, and promotional campaigns.

Kristy is a designer and creative, passionate about digital storytelling, inclusive user experiences, and community engagement. She joins us from SAP where she was a Communications Specialist Intern. Kristy also previously worked at UBC with The Initiative for Student Teaching and Research in Chinese Canadian Studies (INSTRCC) and UBC Asian Canadian and Asian Migration Studies (ACAM) in roles supporting marketing, communications, and academic programming. Kristy has a Bachelor of Arts from UBC and a User Experience Design Diploma from BrainStation.

Katie joins us from Trinity Western University where she was the Communications Coordinator, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in developing strategic internal communications strategy to inspire, inform, and accurately convey the heart of the university. She has also worked at the Society Promoting Environmental Conservation (SPEC) and British Columbia Conservation Foundation. Katie has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UBC and a passion for all things nature!
