In her new role, Tracy aims to transform the digital channels of the VPFO and bring forth new enhancements to optimize the user experience. As a multi-skilled marketer, she brings effective technical and communication skills that can help bridge the gap between technology and business.

New campaign: Be a voice for campus safety!

UBC Vancouver Campus Security is taking a look at its services and organizational model to better understand how it can best meet the needs of a rapidly changing community. We would appreciate your support in spreading the word about this initiative, so we can make sure to learn from as many individuals as possible.

Comms: Everything Everywhere All at Once

According to Jim Maiella, EVP of Corporate Communications at AMC Networks, it’s an extraordinary time to be working in communications, regardless of industry, level or specific job description. He believes there’s no other position better situated to help navigate and positively impact all aspects of a business or organization moving forward as the professional communicator, or another that has the potential to have as lasting and broad-based impact on its success, regardless of the specific challenge or opportunity.

New campaign: UBC will be included in Homelessness Services Association of BC’ s Point-in-Time Homeless Count

UBC Campus Security and UBC Sprouts — a 100% volunteer and student-run organization at the UBC, along with volunteers from across the university will be taking part in the Homelessness Services Association of BC’ s Point-in-Time Homeless Count to collect details about the experiences and demographics of people who are experiencing homelessness.

New campaign: Have you completed all UBC required training?

On March 6, staff and student-staff who are not up to date on their UBC Required Training will receive a Workday notification as a reminder to complete the training(s). Managers and supervisors will also receive a Workday notification with instructions/details to access a report that outlines compliance for their team(s).

New campaign: Seminar: Everything you need to know about occupational sensitization

Whether you work in a lab, animal facility, workshop, museum — or even an office, you may come into contact with sensitizers at your workplace. UBC Safety & Risk Services has invited industry and academia experts to educate the community on why sensitization is an important workplace safety issue and how to protect yourself.

UBC Safe Vancouver is the official safety app of The University of British Columbia’s Point Grey campus. Help us encourage students, faculty and staff to download the UBC Safe Vancouver app and turn on push notifications to receive immediate information updates that are impacting the entire campus.
