Run, Hide, Fight | How to respond to an active threat
Understanding what to do in the high-pressure reality of an active threat is important. If faced with an active threat, whether at UBC or elsewhere, be prepared to respond: Run, Hide, Fight.
Protect yourself and others from the flu: Get the flu shot
Even healthy people can get very sick from the flu and spread it to others. Getting the flu shot is your best protection. Help share this information to encourage and inform the campus community to get their flu shot.
Keep our shared spaces clean and welcoming: Check out the Classroom Usage Guidelines
Help raise awareness about proper usage of classrooms outside of class hours. Posters are being installed in General Teaching Spaces to encourage students to reset classrooms after they use them. Help us share the campaign with students via your newsletters and social media!

Help share the news: the annual province-wide earthquake drill, ‘Great British Columbia ShakeOut’, takes place at 10:16 am on October 16, 2025. UBC Alert will also send a test notification to students, faculty, and staff phones
