What we’re asking
We would like your help notifying UBC staff and faculty about the new Finance platforms and how to access the portal (using CWL and VPN) for the financial information they need.
On January 6, the UBC finance website (finance.ubc.ca) will transition into two platforms:
- Finance website (finance.ubc.ca): A refreshed public-facing website for anyone without a CWL including the general public, media, suppliers, former employees, and property owners who pay the UBC services levy.
- Finance portal: An internal platform (portal) built on the SharePoint site requiring CWL and VPN to access. The portal includes information for UBC employees such as details on pay, purchasing, policies, and more.
The new platforms will improve navigation, information security, and accessibility.

Launching now! Explore the new UBC Finance website and portal
As of January 6, the UBC finance website (finance.ubc.ca) has transitioned into two platforms:

2. Digital signage
We’ve added a digital sign to CoolSign and the campus-wide playlist. Add it to your channels and playlists to run January 6, 2025–Mar 7, 2025.
