Campaign overview
Safety & Risk Services’ Emergency Management team will be hosting a Mass Care Open House on June 28, 2023. This event is an opportunity for key responding staff to familiarize and problem-solve the mass care planning done to date. Mass Care is the provision of food, water, shelter and services to displaced people in a major emergency.
We are recruiting students, faculty, staff and neighbours to participate as volunteer ‘evacuees’ in the Mass Care Open House. Additionally, a Preparedness Fair will be open to the UBC community with information and resources to empower community members to become better prepared for emergencies.
We would appreciate your support in spreading the word about this initiative, so we can strengthen personal and community preparedness for disasters within our campus community.

Join us at UBC’s Mass Care Open House & Preparedness Fair on June 28 (9:30am–12:00pm) to find out what UBC is doing to prepare for major regional emergencies and how you can be prepared.
