Don’t feed the clog monster

Campaign overview: Don’t feed the clog monster
Help UBC Facilities raise awareness around the problems with flushing paper towels and other non-flushables.
UBC faces significant responsive maintenance costs when toilet plumbing issues arise. Research has shown that a large contributor to these issues is people flushing paper towels. We will be launching the campaign by engaging with students, faculty, and staff through an awareness event on September 17.
Help us inform students, faculty and campus visitors about the risks of flushing paper towels using the newsletter copy, social media content, and other assets below.

Campaign message 2 – awareness
Don’t feed the clog monster!
Every time you flush paper towel, the dreaded clog monster grows, creating an increasingly large clog down in the building’s pipe system.
The clog monster leads to closed washrooms, flooded learning spaces, and costs for cleaning and renovations. Help keep your spaces clean and usable by only flushing pee, poo and toilet paper.
Paper towels belong in the trash, not the toilet.
