What we’re asking
UBC Alert will be sending out a test notification to UBC Vancouver campus students, faculty, and staff via a phone call and text message on Friday, January 26.
UBC Alert is the university’s mass notification system used to send alerts in urgent situations that pose an immediate safety or security risk to the community. We would like to remind UBC Vancouver campus students, faculty, and staff to make sure their contact information is up to date in Workday/SSC to ensure they receive UBC Alerts.
This will also be a good opportunity to remind students, faculty, and staff to download and turn on push notifications on our UBC Safe Vancouver app, which is the official safety app of The University of British Columbia’s Point Grey campus.
