Campaign Overview
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) continues to offer two ways employees may be able to claim home office expenses for the 2022 tax year. This means eligible employees working from home during COVID-19 have two options to claim home office expenses: the temporary flat rate method and the detailed method.
The second of these CRA options requires the T2200S tax form, which is produced by employers for their employees to use as applicable.
T2200S forms are now available for UBC faculty and staff in Workday. Full information about both options, including how to access the forms, is available on the Claiming Employment Expenses page.
Communications toolkit
This communications toolkit will help you share information with faculty and staff in your area about how to access the T2200S form, and where to find further information. You can find and download content here that suits your channels and audience needs. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us anytime.
- Newsletter: Suggested copy for you to include in your department/unit communications channels (newsletter, website, etc.)
- Asset: One image is included, however, we are happy to resize if needed.
