Working with Specialists
Plans come to life with skillful production
While the VPFO Communications team are accomplished generalists with many technical skills, for big projects or technical work we hire specialists. There are many different specialists that help deliver communications services. While this is not a complete list, these are the types of communications professionals you’ll most commonly need to work with to deliver professional communications campaigns in the VPFO.

Editors
Editing involves carefully reviewing material before it is published and suggesting or making changes to ensure that the material is consistent and correct and that its content, language, style, and design suit its purpose and meet the needs of its audience.

Writers
Although the skills of writers differ between disciplines, one thing that is common among all good writers is the ability to take information and create the words that clearly articulate that information to the appropriate audience.

Videographers
Videos are an engaging, visual way to tell a story, with viewers taken on a journey by the combination of video footage, photos, music, animations and effects. Anyone can now make a homemade social media-style clip, but professional grade movie production often needs multiple professionals.

Graphic designers
Great design work is informed by both science and art in equal measures; great designers take concepts and theories about the way humans process visual information and combine it with their creative flair, to produce clear and eye-catching work.

Web developers
Web developers are masters of code. They use coding language, of which there are many, to create and organize the contents of a website.

Photographers
Photography can be used to illustrate a concept, record activity or tell a story — essentially they capture a moment in time and can be incredibly powerful communicators; with or without words.
